I have been a regular viewer of this forum for some time. I dont chime in much as the “regulars” always have better suggestions than I. However, I have noticed the posts on this site have gone down over time. Personally, I think the AI sites may be responsible for providing answers to coding questions. I was wondering what others thought of the usage decline? If one of the moderators has access to site usage stats, it would be nice to see that data. Just a topic for discussion/curiosity, nothing more.
I’ve been using PowerShell for a while and have been scripting with it since around the time AI tools started becoming common. I usually find answers through LLMs or online documentation, so I don’t often post questions on forums unless I get stuck. When the LLM responses start going in circles or don’t help me move forward, that’s when I turn to the community for help.
I’ve only been active here for about a year. Compared to the PowerShell subreddit I find the quality of posts here to be much higher. Reddit posts are often things that someone could have searched themself and solved.
I think something that I don’t see much of here that might help spark discussion is something like “show and tell.” People could post solutions or projects of theirs and share it with the community and/or request feedback
