Downloading file(s) from ftp

Hi guys,

I tried to find a script in order to download file(s) from an fpt server with user, pass and remote directory, but everything I found is not working. I need to download the file(s) every hour and save them into a folder with the correct date, so today’s folder for example will be named “20210912” and it will contain 24 files numbered from 1-24 (file-1, file-2, file-3, etc). Is this possible as I can’t find a solution online?

Thanks

anik99,
Welcome to the forum. :wave:t4:

This forum is more about scripting questions than script requests. We can help with code you wrote and is not working as desired but we cannot deliver ready to use code on request.

Regardless of that:

When you crosspost the same question at the same time to different forums you should at least post links to the other forums along with your question to avoid people willing to help you making their work twice or more.

Thanks

I believe I asked a question, not a request for a ready script. Furthermore as I browse the forum I see you have been told not to post your arrogant comments if you have no solution to the issue.
The link to Stack Overflow is actually a post made after this one, but here it was blocked for 24h, that’s why I went there to ask a question.

OK, to answer your question: Yes, this is possible.

And to answer your next question:
With

you can get the current date and time and with the parameter -Format you can format it in the way you need to be able to insert it in a file name.
