Hi All not a scripting question as such, but a what would you use PS for in a scenario question.
So we have purchased a solution that has evolved and now enables us to push and run powershell scripts on devices not directly connected to the LAN, VPN etc… basically all that is required is for that PC / laptop to be connected to the internet somehow (whats not these days) the technology also persists so command or script would run on next connection or callback (every 15 mins). A couple things i can think of are.
1.) Shutdown for any malicious devices
2.) Identity data collection for stolen devices
3.) Forced Updates
Would be interested in hearing any others.
The solution also enables us to pull back files / data over an internet connection.
