Service not started by DSC

Hi, I have very simple scenario - Duo Authentication Proxy service should be monitored by DSC and started if stopped. However today after server reboot service remained stopped for more than an hour and I had to start service manually. I saw in logs that last entry before today was from 4th of June:

The local configuration manager was shut down.

I do not want to use SCOM for service monitoring since this is an ideal task for DSC.

How to troubleshoot this? This also happened a few times before - service simply remained stopped.

That usually depends on your LCM settings. You should check the configuration status json being created or the logs, and the frequency it’s set to.

Issues with wmi service can also affect dsc…
