get information from a web page

hi everyone,

My powershell skills are always improving but I just hit a wall.

I’m trying to create a script that would get the end of live dates for windows 10 versions from this web page;

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet

I know how to do the invoke-webrequest, but I have absolutely no idea how to grab the info in the table I need to read.

I’m not asking for a full script, but could someone please give me pointers to get me started?

Does it really make any sense to create a script for that? The content of that site is pretty static. It might be a lot of effort for very little benefit.

ok but what about next versions in the future? would be nice to have it dynamic!

I don’t even know where to start. I did an invoke-webrequest and got a ton of information back and I have no clue where to start. I ran this;

$link = ‘Lifecycle FAQ - Windows | Microsoft Docs’
Invoke-WebRequest $link

and then BAM, a lot of info came back.

then I tried this to see which members I was dealing with;

$link = ‘Lifecycle FAQ - Windows | Microsoft Docs’
$web = Invoke-WebRequest $link
$web | gm

I still have no clue what should be the next step.

OK nevermind this, my skills are not there yet so I’ll use a static table instead.
