DSC for the desktop computers

I am curious if you could use DSC for the desktop environment. For example using Dell’s PSProvider to make sure all the BIOS setting are set correctly for the organization. Or if you have software the shouldn’t be installed, DSC will uninstall it. Sorry, this is new to me and I know I need to read more about this subject but these are some questions that I have come up with so far. Thank you for your time.

DSC works anywhere if PowerShell v40,5.0 or 5.1 is available.

Is it an unrealistic idea to use DSC for the examples above?

I don’t how the Dell’ provider works and its requirements, You may give it a try.

I’m sure dell has a bios utility that could be scripted.
