Can’t remember from where I heard it, probably web/podcast somewhere where the partial configuration feature was not that popular.
This was a while ago so possibly it has changed since then but are there any specific reasons not to use it?
E.g. troubleshooting reasons where you have multiple .mof files etc.?
It’s not popular because there are is validation client side. If their are conflicts between the partials, it fails and it no easy to troubleshoot.
when you use a single configuration scrip and their are issues it’s not going to build the MOF and give a useful error.
Haven’t investigated the reason but yeah I thought it was related to troubleshooting.
