I am a SQL Server BI Developer, and a new but avid PowerShell user. Have a new company laptop. Installed the SQLServer module which works fine for Invoke-Sqlcmd and all other database engine commands. However, when trying Invoike-ASCmd and Invoke-ProcessASDatabase, etc. for SSAS tabular models it gives me an error stating “Invoke-ASCmd : A connection cannot be made. Ensure that the server is running.” These are the same commands as used easily on the old laptop. NOTE: I can also “ping” the SSAS server just fine. Does anyone know what setting I might be missing to get this error?
