Does anyone know what the difference between the blue and grey NIC icons means?
I am running a script to disable powermgmt settings, and interrupt moderation on the NICS. after I run the script, the servers icon turns grey. It does not lose connectivity or become disabled, just grey.
If I make the change manually, the icon stays blue. Any idea whats up with that?

As you implied, grayed out typically indicates that the nic is disabled or not working. Possibly need to reset the nic or restart a service to apply settings?
ok after further investigation, my script is not causing it, its just a handful of servers in the environment have the icon greyed out. The nic is not disabled when its like this, and they seem to be working just fine. But something on those servers is causing that.
