Paper that makes argument for enabling PowerShell remoting

I just had a quick question. For security reasons, my company has disabled WinRM/PowerShell remoting. I’m pretty sure I remember somewhere in one of the PowerShell videos, on the Microsoft Virtual Academy site, mention of a paper that makes the argument for enabling PowerShell remoting. Does anyone have a link to that, or know of information that makes a convincing argument for turning it on? Thanks.
