Insert creation date into filename if there isn't one already

Olaf

sorry, I think I should only have opened one certain question in this thread.
But I was sure looping is involved, to save time and ressources.

When I paste cour code in the powershell window from context menu nothin happens,
With recursive I meant -recurse, sorry for misspelling.

Hmmm … it depends pretty much on the complexity I’d say.
Let’s say batch-conversion with several commands. But this is a new question.

What do you usually use to write your code?
I use windows editor, cause on my notebook at work I cannot install software. I mean I would have to struggle with bureaucracy.

Bye

If you are responsible for writing reliable PowerShell code, a decent IDE is one of the tools you need to do your work. You should approach your IT department or your boss to make that clear. Until then you should at least use the PowerShell_ISE to write your code. It is part of the OS - so no need to install it.

You cannot imaging how narrow-minded she is. I just want to get rid of some stupid work by using powershell routines. You also cannot image how my superiors and collegues name their saved files. Example: "Letter to Mr. Miller.pdf " or “attachment.docx”. I feel like Herakles, who was ought to tidy out Augias’ stable.

That’s a very goog proposal.

Thank you.
