Dear All,by DonJ at 2013-04-06 06:29:32
Due to a migration a great number of our mailboxes has an alias with the wrong format <full first name><first letter of last name> (JohnD for example). The correct format is <first letter of first name><full last name> (JDoe for example)
How do I create a script that lists with the mailboxes with the wrong alias?
Many thanks in advance,
Ollie1970
I’m not sure how you could quickly identify those. You’d probably have to enumerate every mailbox in the system, calculate the proper string, and see if the existing name was the proper string or not. Exchange has no idea what "correct" looks like.by IfiokM at 2013-04-07 15:59:44
If what you want is to have email addresses appear as "first initial +last name" - have you tried correcting this using the email address policy?
