is it possible to use send-mailmessage to send calendar items?

general web-searches not really showing anything.

i have some scripts that are run with a secondary account (privileged account)
the scripts need to send out some calendar invites for future activities
today i call a seperate powershell console where the running user has to input his non privileged credentials to access outlook and send the invites.

i’d really like to just use send-mail message as it doesn’t require outlook to be running, and can be used to send from any mailbox needed

In theory, yes. A calendar invite is just a specially formatted block of text, added as part of a multipart messaging. But you’ll have to figure out how to construct it and format it - PowerShell can’t do that for you. If you have the invites as a file already, Send-MailMessage can handle attachments for you.
