I did have DSC running on a machine (Server 2012 R2, PS 5.1), but something’s obviously changed as it has stopped working and now when I run Get-DscConfiguration I get the following error:

```
Get-DscConfiguration : The PowerShell DSC resource MSFT_ServiceResource from module
does not exist at the PowerShell module path nor is it registered as a WMI DSC resource.
```

Looks almost like something has got corrupted or messed up.

Any suggestions?

David

Most likely reason is that PSDesiredStateConfiguration Module version has changed from 1.0 to 1.1 and something in the configuration is confusing DSC. Have you tried re-compiling the original configuration with WMF 5.1?
