hello,
i’m having trouble starting using PS…

i’m trying to run basic test to figure out if psexec already running (it’s a domain network, lots of restrictions)

so i run:

d:\pstools\>psexec \192.1.3.112 ipconfig
**nothing happens**
d:\pstools\>
\*\* i get a fresh command line \*\*

anybody knows what can be the issue here?
thanks a lot!

niro

Hi, welcome to the forums 👋

The Ps in PsTools is nothing to do with PowerShell. The naming convention is based on the UNIX tool ps.

For support on PsTools, please visit the SysInternals site. PsTools is part of the SysInternals suite:

> **[PsTools - Windows Sysinternals](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/pstools)**
>
> Command-line utilities for listing the processes running on local or remote computers, running processes, rebooting computers, and more.
